EXETER, Pa. – Pride Mobility Products is testing a new digital kiosk with about 50 HME providers as a way to help them educate and sell customers on their products.

The kiosk will have information, photos and videos of everything from Pride’s VivaLift line of electronic recliners to its Jazzy line of power wheelchairs.

“We’re moving more in a digital direction,” said Renae Storie, a senior director at Pride.

Pride had a digital kiosk on hand at Medtrade in October. It has a steel frame that houses an iPad, with hooks on the side for VivaLift fabric swatches or other product samples.

The kiosk allows Pride to keep its marketing materials up to date with the most recent product specifications and other information, and add new photos and videos on the fly, Storie said.

“With how often our products change, print can get outdated quickly,” she said. “Now we can just push it to the iPad.”

Pride also has an online ordering platform that it’s testing with more than 50 providers that allows them to create accounts, place orders, access promotions and more.

“This gives (providers) more time to deal with customers the way they’re supposed to,” said Jeff Distasio, senior director of sales for Pride.

The kiosk and the platform are just two examples of how Pride is evolving its business, not to mention its products, to better meet the expectations of providers and their customers and caregivers.

“We keep innovating and we keep driving new technology,” Distasio said, “with our mouths closed and our ears opened.”
